CWFL STAFF

Margaret J Weber, PhD

Program Director

“When we don’t speak up - the world loses an important VOICE!”

As an advocate for women of faith to become influencers and share their voices, she is excited to bring her expertise in women’s leadership, religion and identity, and gender roles to the Program Director at IGE’s Center for Women, Faith & Leadership (CWFL).

In her new role, Margaret advises on issues of gender, religion, and peacekeeping. She manages the CWFL Fellowship Program (which focuses on leadership advancement for women religious leaders) and is an advocate for advancing the leadership of women of faith for marginalized populations.

She has been involved with CWFL since 2014 as a Senior Fellow. Before joining IGE, Dr. Weber served as Dean and Professor at the Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) at Pepperdine University and served in leadership positions at Oklahoma State University.

Kyrsten Turner

Program Assistant

A new face to CWFL, Kyrsten is eager to bring her experiences in leadership and communications to her role as Program Assistant.

Kyrsten holds a B.A. in Journalism and New Media from Lipscomb University, as well as several email and digital marketing certifications. She grew her career in internal and executive communications, serving as Director of Internal Communications for a popular tech company before stepping out in faith to pursue a new adventure.

Now, she leads Kyrsten Turner Creative, where she engages with entrepreneurs and helps them tell their story in meaningful ways through personal branding, email and digital marketing, and creative website content.

“Everyone’s life is a story worth telling.”

“Across many faiths and beliefs, we find that women are called to leadership versus oppressed submission; this is a theme that empowers and binds us as a sisterhood!“

“Women are natural leaders in so many ways every day; being part of a supportive sisterhood that uplifts our connection to the Divine while grounding our work for humanity is essential to our growth in mind, body, and spirit.”
